Your Heavenly Father Knows What You Need
|
Hi,
It is so interesting when you see God drawing things together!
In recent times, the story of Joshua has been resonating so strongly with us here at Vision – to be strong and courageous in the face of the unknown.
Also, Matthew 6 has been coming at us from different directions, especially Jesus’ instruction to not worry, and seek first His kingdom. “Do not worry about your life… your heavenly Father knows what you need.” What a timely reminder.
Then, in a beautiful alignment, this week in The Word for Today has been a powerful series on overcoming anxiety (worth reading if you missed them).
Yet another reminder of the right posture toward God came this week from a fairly unexpected source – an extract from the preamble to the Australian Constitution, which crossed my desk. It starts with the words “humbly relying on the blessing of Almighty God”. Just imagine what God might do if we were to truly embrace that posture as a nation!
The themes in all this are that God is sovereign, God is bigger than anything we might face, and His plan is simple: seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, and then He will take care of the rest.
We pray that God will grant you strength and courage through His Holy Spirit in whatever you face this week, and that our work together through Vision will see a great harvest of righteousness throughout this nation and beyond.
