Are You Leaning on God or Yourself? |
Hi,
Some Scriptures have a way of becoming part of who we are. They stay with us through every season of life. This week’s Treasury Project verse is one of those:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding” – Proverbs 3:5 NIV
This verse has become an anchor for my wife and I. During a Vision Tour to Israel in 2018, we came across a place in Jerusalem selling silver rings engraved with this verse in Hebrew. We both wear them to this day. |
 |
For us, it’s a personal and powerful reminder to put our full trust in God. Especially when life doesn’t make sense.
I’ve found myself leaning on this verse more times than I can count. When things feel uncertain, it reminds me that I don’t need to have it all figured out. God is trustworthy. He sees what I can’t. And He’s always faithful.
We’re so passionate at Vision about helping you look to God daily. And that’s exactly what verses like this one do. They lift our eyes beyond the chaos of the moment and fix them on the One who holds it all together.
If Proverbs 3:5 has been a special verse for you too, I pray it encourages you afresh this week. And if you’ve never made it your own, maybe now is the time. |
