Hi,
I wish I could sit with you this week, with a cuppa in hand, and share what has been on my heart. We have just become a grandfather again, and holding that new little life made me pause, smile, thank God, and wonder "how I became the older bloke in the family stories?"
Looking back on Father’s Day, I know it lands differently for each of us. For some, it brings gratitude and laughter. For others, grief, absence, or longing. Wherever Father’s Day found you, I hope it pointed you again to the steady love of our Heavenly Father has lavished upon us so generously.
I have always loved Luke 15, where Jesus gives us such a beautiful picture of that Father heart. The prodigal son is still a long way off, rehearsing his apology and probably smelling like a pig pen, when his father sees him and runs. He doesn’t wait for the right words. He runs toward him, wraps him in his arms, and welcomes him home.
That is the heart of God: watching, compassionate, and ready to restore His children.
That same hope is what I love about Vision. Every day, people are reminded that God is not distant or silent. He is near. Through Vision, that message is reaching people who simply need to know they are not alone.
This week, I have had the privilege of being in Fiji with Grant Kennedy, who leads our Affiliate Support team. Together, we have been strengthening relationships, encouraging local leaders, and supporting the launch of a new Christian radio station in Suva. After years of prayer and persistence by local believers and ministry partners, broadcast licences have now been granted for Suva and Nadi/Lautoka. Vision is reaching Australia and beyond, and the hope you help share is reaching further into hearts and homes beyond our shores.
