Hi,
As we step into 2026, Vision has launched an important focusing theme for the year: Following Jesus Together. It sounds simple. But it matters much more than we realise. Discipleship was never meant to be a solo journey. Jesus calls us to walk with Him, and with one another. To learn, grow, pray and support each other.
Scripture teaches us this very clearly:
"Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, but encouraging one another." Hebrews 10:24–25 NIV
That truth feels especially close this week. On Thursday, 22 January, the nation will pause for a National Day of Mourning following the Bondi terrorist attack. Our hearts are heavy as we still process our grief over this evil act which shook the nation.
In recent weeks, we have also seen many communities across Australia impacted by floods and bushfires, adding to the sense of loss and uncertainty so many people are feeling right now.
Moments like these remind us why following Jesus together matters. We don't face pain alone. We don't carry grief by ourselves. And we don't look for hope in isolation. We turn to Jesus, and we walk alongside one another.
That's the heart behind everything Vision does. Through prayer, worship, stories and testimonies, we are here to help people look to God daily. To remind them they're not alone on their journey of faith.
As we mourn with the rest of Australia, we also commit ourselves to following Jesus together. To choosing love over fear, and light over darkness.
Thank you for being part of the Vision family. Your prayers, faithfulness and support help make it possible for people right across Australia and beyond to keep following Jesus together. |
