The Real Message of Easter Still Matters |
Hi,
Easter is a sacred time of remembrance and celebration. Christ’s sacrifice on Good Friday represents the radical love God has toward all mankind, and the miracle of Resurrection Sunday declares that the curse of sin and death has been broken!
At Easter, joyfully, many Australians choose to go to church. Some do it out of habit or tradition. Many others are searching for meaning.
I’m encouraged that a new study titled An Undercurrent of Faith (from McCrindle) reveals something quite significant is happening across our nation.
The study shows that even though fewer people tick the “Christian” box on the census, church attendance has increased! Over the 10 years from 2011 to 2021, the number of people regularly attending church increased from 15% to 21% of the population!
It also shows that large numbers of Australians are turning to Jesus. There is a real hunger for purpose and meaning, especially among young people. There is a growing curiosity about faith, even among those who don’t fit the “typical” Christian profile.
And that’s where Vision comes in. To share the true message of Jesus every day, in ways that really reach people. Sharing God’s truth boldly but graciously. And because of your support, lives all across Australia are being touched and changed.
As the angel said on that first Easter morning: “He is not here; He has risen, just as He said.” – Matthew 28:6
Together, let’s keep shining the light of the risen Christ. Because He is alive, and that changes everything. |
