The Sky is Falling (or so they say)! |
Hi,
“Potential mayhem” ... “Here’s what could happen” ... “Impending doom”
These are phases from real headlines in this week’s news. No wonder people are stressed and unsettled with so many speculations that the proverbial sky is falling!
Yes, there are issues in the world that we need to be aware of, but the common factor with all these stories is a very narrow field of view. They look at an immense landscape through a tiny keyhole and then magnify the little bit they see.
It can be unsettling, can’t it? Especially when it is a constant barrage. But God is not thrown off by headlines. He isn’t worried about trade tariffs or what the markets are doing. He sees the BIG picture – beginning, middle and end. When we zoom out and consider His view, our view of the world becomes different, and we have hope.
This is why it is important to have a strong Christian voice in the media landscape. While others focus on fear and speculation, Vision cuts through the noise to help people fix their eyes on Jesus and know peace amid the turmoil.
‘You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in You, all whose thoughts are fixed on You.’ Isaiah 26:3 (NLT)
Yes, the world is uncertain. But our God is faithful, steady and completely in control.
Let’s keep our eyes on Him this week. |
