Hi,
This past weekend, I bought some new plants. When I brought them home, I watered them straight away without a second thought.
Every morning, most of us turn on a tap without thinking.
We fill the kettle, wash our hands, pour a glass of water, and fill a drink bottle before heading out the door.
It is simple, ordinary, and so easy to take for granted.
But for many families around the world, water is not simple at all. It is a daily burden: a long walk, a heavy container, a missed day of school, a risk to health, and the constant question of whether there will be enough.
That is what makes Vision's Water for Life Day so powerful.
Tomorrow, on Thursday 20 August, Vision is joining with Convoy of Hope and Christian media ministries across Australia to help bring clean, safe water to communities that desperately need it. Through this special day, our heart is to see thousands of people receive access to water that can change not only their day, but their future.
Because clean water changes everything.
It means children can go to school instead of walking long distances to collect water.
It means families can drink without fear.
It means crops can grow, hygiene can improve, and whole communities can begin to flourish.
And it reminds us of something Jesus said in John 4:14:
“Whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst.”
What a beautiful picture.
Physical water sustains life. But Jesus offers living water: the hope, grace, and salvation every heart truly needs.
That is why this moment matters so much. Water for Life Day is not only about meeting a practical need, as important as that is. It is also an opportunity to reflect the love of Christ in a tangible way, helping people experience compassion, dignity, and hope in His name.
For just $25, one person can receive water for life.
That is a simple gift with extraordinary impact.
This year, Vision’s goal is to help 10,000 children receive water for life. It is a big goal, but we know the Vision family has always had a generous heart for people in need. Time and again, you have responded with prayer, compassion, and practical support when there has been an opportunity to make a real difference.
And this is one of those moments.
Together, we can help bring clean water to families who have waited, prayed, and hoped for something many of us use every single day without a second thought.
Thank you for being part of a community that does not look away from need, but responds with faith, generosity and love.
May God use Vision's Water for Life Day to bring refreshment, hope, and lasting change, one person, one family, one village, one drop at a time.
Blessings, |
