Hi,
So many Australians today are searching for answers they once would have found through family, church, or community. They’re asking big questions about life, purpose and hope, and often doing it quietly, alone.
That’s where Vision comes in.
Every day, through radio, The Word For Today and V180, the Vision App and social media, Vision gently points people to Jesus—the way, the truth and the life. And people you are the quiet but powerful engine that makes Vision possible.
In May, Visionathon is our opportunity to pause, thank God for what He’s doing, and invite you to partner with us as we keep showing the way to Jesus together.
We’re still believing for (and seeing) big things!
Vision’s 38-year story is full of faith steps – and I am excited to announce we are about to take another big step, with city-wide coverage of Vision Christian Radio coming soon to PERTH!
We have long prayed for a better solution for our broadcasts in Perth. In the early 2000’s we switched on the first of a series of low-power (single suburb) FM stations across the city, and while these have reached some people, they are far from ideal.
Why is this significant? Perth is Australia’s fourth largest city, with nearly 2.5 million souls, and it will become the fifth State Capital in Australia to receive city-wide access to Vision in the past four years – thanks to faithful people like you choosing to partner with us in this gospel mission during times like Visionathon.
That will mean Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Hobart and Perth will now all have city-wide access to Vision. Plus, most of Adelaide is covered through an AM service, and we continue praying for a city-wide ‘big step’ opportunity for that city too.
This long‑prayed‑for opportunity opens the door for even more Australians to encounter the hope of Jesus.
How God uses us as we reach out to help
We recently heard a heartfelt story from Dana in Burnie, Tasmania on Vision’s Rise & Shine.
During a season of deep grief, Dana picked up a Vision booklet at church and started listening. Vision became part of her family’s daily rhythm - on in the mornings before school, and again in the evenings while cooking dinner.
Her simple act of listening turned into faith in action.
Before the year was out, Dana and two of her children made the decision to be baptised, placing their trust in Jesus. Isn’t that wonderful!
Stories like Dana’s happen every day because Vision is there – broadcasting truth and hope, day after day – made possible through the faithfulness of supporters like you across Australia.
Visionathon is here – and that is important
The simple fact is that Vision is primarily funded by donations (about 95%), and this month we’re believing God for $2.4 million by 31 May, needed to keep sustaining Vision’s ministry nationwide and beyond – empowering us to keep going strong and keep growing too, with big steps like we’re now taking with Perth DAB+ city wide.
From capital cities to regional towns, across broadcasting, online, in print and prayer support, your partnership helps to ensure Vision is there at the moment someone needs it most.
Please consider the part you will play during this important month - and if you’re ready you can give now. Thank you for being part of this mission. Together, we are helping people look to God daily across Australia and beyond, showing the way to Jesus together.
With gratitude, |
