Lest We Forget |
|
Hi,
Today, on ANZAC Day, we pause as a nation to remember the men and women who gave everything for the sake of others. Their courage, sacrifice, and service have shaped the freedoms we enjoy today.
Jesus said, “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” – John 15:13
This kind of love is reflected in the stories of our ANZACs, who laid down their lives for their fellow countrymen. It is fulfilled perfectly in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, who laid down His life for all men (and women) so we could live in true, eternal freedom.
At Vision, our heart is to keep helping people know that hope. These current times of change and uncertainty remind us once again that real peace will never be found in the world, but only in Jesus.
As we honour those who’ve gone before us, may we also reflect on the greatest sacrifice of all. The one that brings lasting hope, eternal life, and peace this world cannot give.
Let’s never take that gift for granted. |
