And already, people are finding Vision, even before we’ve done any real promotion. On Tuesday we received the following from Alison (who lives well outside the city):
“I am so excited that I just had to send you a huge thank you for Vision DAB+ radio in Perth. I just listened all the way from Muchea… to Kelmscott… and back again almost to my front door in Lower Chittering... Such a wonderful blessing that will make this regular journey for me so much better... Thank you so much.” — Alison
Big steps like this are possible because of the financial and prayerful support of people like you, so thank you. It is very early days for this new city-wide coverage in Perth, but I am excited that we will soon begin to hear stories of lives encouraged and changed as people begin to tune in - just like we have seen everywhere else!
This is what your partnership makes possible — easy access to God’s Word and encouragement right there in the public square, reaching people in their everyday lives.
The other point of celebration this week!
We are encouraged that together, you stood with us in faith and generosity to raise almost $2 million toward our $2.4 million Visionathon goal.
Our hearts are truly full as we listened to all the amazing stories from people all around Australia, in big towns and small ones, of how they have discovered or grown in their journey with God, because of something you’ve helped us do at Vision.
At the same time, we recognise we didn’t quite reach the goal we had set. We’re reminded of something important: our plans don’t always unfold the way we expect — but God is still faithful.
So what do we do? We keep going.
“…But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal…”
— Philippians 3:13–14 (NIV)
We continue to trust Him. We stay committed to the mission He has given us, to help everyone look to God daily.
And we believe — not smaller — but for even bigger things ahead.
What we do together is always about lives being reached, hope being shared, and people encountering Jesus every single day.
So as we step forward from Visionathon, our posture is simple. We are grateful, faithful and expectant. There is still more ground to take, more communities to reach, and more stories like Alison’s waiting to unfold.
Thank you for helping us to share the way to Jesus together.
