Hi,

Yesterday a friend made an interesting observation.

He said “Philippians 4:6 tells us to be anxious for nothing and pray about everything – but it seems that too many Christians are praying for nothing and anxious about everything”.

Anxiety has become a huge challenge for so many – its presence may be unavoidable, but as author Max Lucado says “the prison of anxiety is optional”.

The key is Prayer.

Prayer moves our focus away from ourselves and our worries, and helps us look to God and also be more aware of the needs of others. James 5:16 also tells us that the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. So if you are feeling anxious, pray!

Let’s believe together that God is indeed able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us (Ephesians 3:20).
